The problem is that these days we spend about 90% of our time indoors,
breathing trapped or recycled air which, without proper filtration, is only
likely to become more and more polluted.
The results of poor filtration
are self evident. Each litre of air indoors contains millions of suspended
harmful particles. Fine dust can cause bronchial problems whilst minute
particles of dirt may penetrate deep into the lungs causing complaints such as
headache, lethargy, concentration problems and nausea.
Providing a good
filtration system in the workplace makes sense on two counts. Not only will it
improve quality of life for your employees, but it should also also reduce the
number of lost days due to ill health.
Providing a good filtration system
for your customers makes sense as well. The Public Places Charter is an
industry-led initiative to resolve the smoking issue. It is backed by fourteen
hospitality associations representing all areas of customer facing industries,
and is agreed with government. Clean Air will help you comply with the Public
Places Charter. In a recent survey, conducted by Gfk Markin Hamblin, of London
venues that met the charter ventilation standard:
32% said they would
stay longer
20% said they would visit more frequently
19% said they would
be more likely to buy food
How can Clean Air help?
We are UK distributor's for VisionAir and will supply to trade or end user
(as a fully installed product). We carry out, without charge, site surveys which
will establish your exact requirements including certification to the Public
Places Charter. There are a variety of products on the marketplace which are
worth considering. You can be sure that our expert advice will ensure that we
find the solution which suits your business best.
Air Cleaners are one
example. They remove pollutants such as pollen, smoke, plants, hair, bacteria
and viruses. As an optional extra the air cleaners can contain odour free
filters. These remove pervasive smells from meeting rooms, nursing homes,
canteens and other busy places.
In some situations, for example on food
and drink production lines or at medical institutions, we may also recommend the
use of UV-light to kill micro-organisms, such as bacteria, viruses and
fungi.
Whatever the solution, you can rely on Clean Air to ensure that a
healthy environment is created and then maintained. Very soon you can look
forward to an increase work performance, improved productivity and less illness
related absence.
The public places charter on smoking is a government backed industry led initiative. It promotes the responsible management of tobacco smoke in clubs, pubs, restaurants and bars. To comply with the charter venues must fulfil certain obligations. For instance the level of ventilation a venue should have to meet the standard is a minimum of 30m3 per person per hour of fresh outside air (supply air) entering the venue whilst the same quantity of stale air is extracted.
