Factory Ventilation and Cooling
For factory cooling nothing compares with evaporative air conditioning for powerful and cost effective temperature reduction. And nobody compares with Clean Air for expertise or prices. After all we are the UK distributor for Cool Breeze and one of the very first to introduce this incredible technology to the UK.
Factory Heating
Our experienced engineers use sophisticated tools and computer modelling software to determine the type and power of heating system that is appropriate for your factory. There are a bewildering array of commercial heaters – from hot air blowers to radiant heaters – our engineers will recommend the best for your premises.
Maintaining warehouses at the right temperature is not an easy thing. Big, busy spaces, often with poor thermal dynamics, present a challenge to cool, ventilate or heat effectively. The good news is that Clean Air have years of experience helping businesses just like yours.
The usual answer for cooling and ventilation is evaporative cooling. Nothing else comes close as a cost effective way to powerfully cool and ventilate large areas. They work with open warehouse doors and windows. Clean Air were one of the first to introduce this incredible technology to the UK back in 1997 and have likely installed more evap coolers in the UK than any other HVAC company.
Heating is usually provided by floor-standing warm air heaters, supplemented by suspended radiant heaters, destratification fans and perhaps hot air curtains.
To maintain the perfect environment in your office you require a commercial air conditioning unit that controls the temperature, movement, humidity and cleanliness of the air. Air con systems cool in the summer and warm in the winter, providing year-round climate control. For additional efficiency, inverter systems vary the condenser speed to match demand for cooling or heating.
Decent ventilation is an important aspect of any office air conditioning system. It helps ensure sufficient air changes and to help extract polluted air. Our engineers will recommend the right solution for you, for example a heat recovery unit. This incredible technology will re-distribute warm or cool air from areas where it is not needed to areas where it is. The result? Reduced running costs and a big tick for the environment and for your CSR.
The requirements of office air conditioning systems will be very different from restaurant or retail air con, or warehouse and industrial cooling. As a leading UK commercial air conditioning contractor we work closely with all the major manufacturers. We are rated a Diamond Quality Partner for Mitsubishi, and a D1 Partner to Daikin.
Close control of the climate in a server room, data centre or indeed any space containing sensitive hi-tech equipment is a must. Even a slight variation in temperature or humidity from recommended tolerances can lead to serious consequences -from localised network failures to total data loss. Your choice of HVAC contractor is not something to leave to chance – you need the specialist skills of Clean Air’s design team and installation engineers.
A major consideration at design and specification will be the type of air conditioning system that is best suited to your needs and organisation. It’s not just data centres that require a closely controlled environment – think laboratories, research facilities, hospitals, operating rooms, telecommunication centres or museums with precious works of art.
Also the answer does not necessarily a traditional inverter driven air conditioner. It is possible to use evaporative air conditioning to cool, helping the environment and saving on running costs.
At survey we will undertake a full audit of the computers and other heat generating equipment within the area being controlled. Taking this and many other factors into consideration – for example the construction of the room or building – our engineers will use sophisticated computer modelling software to anticipate heat loads and decide the correct climate control equipment for the job.

A comfortable shopping environment pays dividends. Welcome your customers with an air conditioning system that will encourage them to visit, stay and return.
A decent environment will help staff moral and retention, after all happy staff means happy customers.
Clean Air engineers understand the unique demands retailers have for climate control in their shops. We contract to numerous nationals and independents, either to install new or replacement HVAC or to maintain an existing heating or cooling system.
The latest powerful, yet discreet, inverter air conditioners deliver heating or cooling just as it is required for the ultimate in climate control. Add a heat recovery unit like the Mitsubishi Lossnay and they can even ventilate your premises, crucial to any retailer.
Also consider evaporative air conditioning. Usually roof mounted (but not not necessarily – see our side mounted units at Sauflon in the case study above), evap coolers are the technology to use for big power, high volume ventilation and cooling. Evap Cooling is also green to the core as it uses just a smidgen of electric and water to do its job. This means lower energy bills.
There are of course other aspects to shop air conditioning. Clean Air engineers will consider them all, including the use of air curtains, destratification fans, roof vents, even the integration of supplementary heating or cooling units if required.
Clean Air have over 30 years experience in the provision of HVAC services to the FMCG sector. From food manufacturing plants to big box warehouses, hypermarkets to convenience stores, our HVAC engineers know how best to meet the exacting requirements your business will have.
These may include zoned control of temperature and humidity, robust air filtration measures to minimise airborne contaminants, the introduction of and circulation of fresh clean air, and the removal of odours or potential pollutants that might cause microbial growth.
Whatever your requirements Clean Air are the FMCG HVAC specialists to call. If you prefer use our quick contact form and we will survey your premises and provide a quotation free of charge.
Effective air conditioning, ventilation and climate control is a vital aspect for any indoor sports centre or gymnasium. Clean Air have the experience to create optimal environments to train, work out or play competitive sports in.
Why keeping cool in class is smart thinking…
A recent study suggested that private schools that could afford air conditioning would increase the relative exam success of their pupils during summer heat. This will come as no surprise to teachers who will know the importance of a comfortable working environment on campus.
Research shows the importance of effective heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems too. Studies from the University of Tulsa found that student scores improved against the state average when fresh outdoor air was introduced into the building and a number of air changes took place in the classroom. The probable correlation seems clear – rooms with proper ventilation mean higher marks.
Pandemic aside, poor ventilation and air quality in a building can also affect the health of it’s occupants, exasperate hay fever and asthma, and contribute to higher rates of illness and absenteeism. You can read more about it all in our blog here.
